I've read several posts like with a bunch of my other friends, and I just got through this 'identity crisis' myself. It was my bro-in-law that just told me that my here-and-now was taking care of and teaching my children. Times and seasons. And now that Maci is starting kindergarten, I had another 'awakening'. Check out my blog about that. You are such an amazing woman!!HowSut Goin'?https://www.blogger.com/profile/14858350423648069540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4213499219669709454.post-59530274585956845292009-08-29T15:59:22.032-07:002009-08-29T15:59:22.032-07:00You are awesome for supporting ben through more sc...You are awesome for supporting ben through more school. And even more amazing for starting a family during that time.
This post was just what I needed to hear. Being pregnant all summer and having a baby the week before kindergarten started, have been really hard on me...therefore hard on everyone. I don't think my kids are feeling much love lately. It is more nagging one minute and being pushed aside the next. Thanks for reminding me what is important. Hopefully I can change my attitude around sooner. The Hunter'shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01347728792544130482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4213499219669709454.post-84484485343886040352009-08-29T05:15:49.967-07:002009-08-29T05:15:49.967-07:00Lynsey! Then I remember that my parents were absolutely dirt poor when I was Jenna's age. One car. Lived in my grandma's basement. I didn't do dance, any sports, preschool, NOTHING extracurricular, but I had the happiest childhood ever I definitely remember my mom being there, they sacrificed pay so she could be home with us and me and her are so close. You're right all we need is love.Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00475600876852303350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4213499219669709454.post-83735314820294302402009-08-28T09:48:44.692-07:002009-08-28T09:48:44.692-07:00Lynsey, What an amazing post. There are times I wish I could give my children so much more but being there and giving children yourself and your time/attention/love is the most important thing you can give them. (that reminds me of President Monson...he always talks about things like that! giving of yourself.... :)Dana Broderickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09459966029025859229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4213499219669709454.post-33294727697221103142009-08-28T09:44:57.160-07:002009-08-28T09:44:57.160-07:00TOTALLY HEAR YA! Even though we have 2 cars, some days I feel cooped up because my kids are acting insane...and who wants to publicly humiliate themselves--INTENTIONALLY??. :)

Thank you for sharing your feelings. With Garrett being gone all the time I feel like sometimes I am sinking more then swimming. Then out of the blue my kids do something that just makes my heart melt. It makes me realize that I can not imagine not being with them everyday. Sometimes we have HORRIBLE days, but in the end I can't imagine not being their mom. Thanks for sharing you thoughts. You just say it how it is and I love it.The Foster Bunchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10258932065654857948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4213499219669709454.post-84202100326167043162009-08-28T09:09:23.395-07:002009-08-28T09:09:23.395-07:00I love you, Lynsey. I think learning to find the joy in MUNDANE is one of the biggest challenges we face --- because the fact of the matter is that most of life is "mundane". when you get past one challenge, there's another one there to welcome you with open arms. :) Supportive, huh? :) Being sequestered inside is TOUGH. You're almost through it, right? and then you'll be posting all your lovely outings for us to salivate over for the next SIX MONTHS while we huddle in our little warm homes watching the -30 degree snow fly. LOL!

So. By way of distraction, I'm coming down to Gilbert next week for my cousin's wedding! It's on Thursday. I would LOVE to get together with you and your kiddos! We'll be in town all the remainder of that week. Email me and let me know what your schedule is Friday and Saturday.Rachel Chickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18134114200954366774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4213499219669709454.post-44948071034204809392009-08-28T07:09:36.311-07:002009-08-28T07:09:36.311-07:00Sometimes being a mom is the hardest job in the wo...Sometimes being a mom is the hardest job in the world, wait not sometimes. It always it. Despite how much we love our kids, how good/bad they are, etc. It is always hard, but the most rewarding thing.

As for the school thing, honestly I have been there. Just finished in fact. It is the hardest thing for both sets of people. I don't know who was more excited to be done, me or him.

Good luck and keep your chin up. I am glad you write the things we all want to say. Sorry for this huge, freaking long comment.M+J=K3+Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15206271819950734079noreply@blogger.com
