Oh how I wish I knew the answer!! First commenter stands a good chance at winning...but since I'm mostly technalogically retarded, I can't help... But good questions. I'll have to check back and see if anyone can give you an answer!!

There isn't anything that works perfectly, but there are a few things you can do to make it difficult. However, I'm not sure how many of them you can implement with google. And all of them can be gotten around with the right extensions/tricks.

You can disable right-clicking using javascript, you can cover your page with an invisible div, so that when you right click, it right clicks on the cover, and not the image, therefore nothing to download. If they are just posting your image on their site, without downloading it, just linking to it, you can block that using an htaccess file with a few rules.

But I'm not sure if you can do those with blogger.

jared-you win!! thanks for the info, i was hoping my tech-savvy friend would come to the rescue.

but.

how do i do any of those things??

is it too tricky to explain through blog comments? probably....i think i need to hire out for this sort of thing. how much do you charge?

and...are you coming out to phoenix any time soon? :)

This idea wouldn't prevent people from stealing your pictures, but it would at least give you credit. Have you ever used Picasa or another good photo editing program? You can insert text (or like a watermark) on the corner of your pictures that said L. Strader, or something like that. Good luck! You have great pictures and all, but why would people steal them?

mindylou-

i'm not so much worried about people stealing my pictures & me not getting credit. i'm no professional here, and really have no idea why anyone would think they're something to sneeze over. BUT what i wanted to do was stop the internet pervies from downloading pics of my kids b/c that just creeps me out. i was just wondering if there was a way to not allow others to be able to put them onto their own computer.

but it looks like i haven't found a way yet!
