and more importantly...

sorry i should have added this in.

  • weight gain so far: 2.5 lbs, which is fine by me.
  • the baby is: just on target for how big she needs to be, so is my uterus. so far so good. 3 vessels on the cord. even better.
  • how many times i asked the ultrasound tech if she was 100% it was a girl: about 30. yes, she is 100%. and ended up giving us a close-up shot of what is "NOT" there. (that poor lady finally asked, "is everything okay? are you disappointed?" to which we answered: "no not at all. just extremely shocked. and wondering if she will look good in blue, since all we can afford is caleb's hand-me-downs.")
  • name picked out: yes we already have one and no i don't care if people know. it will be leah. my grandma's name & my middle name. critique it if you want, it's staying.

That's FANTASTIC news. Leah is perfect - that's just my opinion though.

Congrats on having a girl - that is so exciting, we love having one of each, they are both so different, but so fun.

YAY! I'm so excited for you! And I LOVE LEAH! (of course!) It's been one of my faves forever....I don't know why I haven't named one of my girls that. So, I love it! I can't believe it's a girl either! I wish I would have saved more hand me downs for you (the cute ones of course:) and if I have any, I'll send them your way! I'll have to give you a call this week! We need to get together again!

YAY! A girl, now you will have one of each, the pressure is off, and you won't end up with 6 boys! Hallelujah I can hear the angels singing right now! p.s. Only 2.5 pounds? Are you serious? I'm going to need you to fatten up if we are going to remain friends! I'm triple chinnin' it as we speak!

Leah is my grandma's name, so I wholeheartedly approve. Not that my opinion matters..LOL. Well, that is fun you get a girl. I know what you mean about the boy clothes. I'd have the same problem (if it were me, which it isn't). Congrats!

Love the name, of course. No mention of the middle name though. Huh. I see how it is.

And more importantly, you are such a little BRAGGER telling us all that you've only gained 2.5 lbs! EAT A COOKIE!

And most importantly, I already went out tonight and bought my little niece some very pink gifts (don't worry - no ruffles, no sparkles, no floral patterns, no mentions of princesses and especially NO BOWS - did anyone else have a little fashion heartattack when they saw the bow-tastic lady at Conference? Look I'm not trying to be mean - her talk was great. But the BOWBOWBOWS were very distracting).

We are so excited for you guys. I love the name Leah as long as her middle name is Benita so Ben dosen't feel left out. I agree with Lauren, go eat a cookie, 2.5 pounds that's amazing. I am going to find some great frilly, sparkly, pink, ruffly outfits for you. They will be FAB!

don't worry, I will send you some blue headbands and bows and then she will be girly--or look like a little baby boy with bows....hmmm.

This is a little bit late--but I just saw this post and wanted to say CONGRATS on having a baby girl!!! I also love, love, love the name :) I always loved hearing Grandpa and my dad talk about Grandma Leah--so special.
